Steve Jacobson has been practicing for more than thirty five years in the fields of tax, estate planning, estate administration, and business and commercial transactions and has been recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as well as Washington and Maryland Super Lawyers for his work as an estate planner. Mr. Jacobson has a depth of experience in advising and counseling professional corporations, and represents a broad spectrum of closely-held businesses in their corporate and tax planning matters. He also has extensive experience in business transactions, including the sale and acquisition of businesses, buy-sell transactions between shareholders, and shareholder disputes, and heads the firm’s commercial leasing practice.
Mr. Jacobson graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. in 1984 from the University of Virginia.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jacobson spent four years in the tax department of the Washington, D.C. office of Dickstein, Shapiro and Morin.
